South Africa is a new democratic nation (only for 21 years), but their youth seem to have a clear view of where they would like South Africa to be in the near future, and their role, using their creativity, in helping South Africa get there.

For their Young South Africa 2015 series, Between 10and5 collaborated with Visual Content Gang to interview six young South African creatives on how they see themselves in current South Africa. These creatives are illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, musicians, and writers. It’s interesting how they all see their creative work playing an important part in moving South Africa towards a fruitful future – whether by telling a compelling narrative about South Africa’s many stories, starting conversations, or being catalysts for action.

Each of the creatives have something compelling to say, and the video is beautifully and artfully done. Watch it below:

Featuring Lazi Mathebula, Pola ManeliRendani Nemakhavani, Andiswa Mkosi, Thandiwe Tshabalala and Dillion Phiri
