Hyperrealistic art has undoubtedly taken the Nigerian art scene by storm and put it even more firmly on the global arena and in the media’s eye. Chiamonwu Joy is one of these special set of artists who are promoting and showcasing hyperrealistic art. The key features of Joy’s work is that it’s made from graphite and charcoal…but it looks like it was taken with a camera. You really can’t tell immediately and it takes a few minutes of staring to figure out the truth because of the amazing details.
